I use Blackline Restore with all my good micofiber cloths and towels. I wash them in a bucket, next I rinse them clean and let them air dry. It takes very little Restore to wash them.Great product!
I tested this on microfiber cloths that had been used to apply car wax. That seems to be their main selling point - removing car wax. Some of the cloths were absolutely filthy from rubbing wax on my woodworking tools and picking up sawdust/machine oil. Thus, I followed the presoak instructions on the bottle and soaked them in 140º (very hot) water with a splash of detergent. A lot of gunk immediately came out when I added the detergent. Hot water alone didn't coax it out, but the detergent did. This was followed by a round of hand washing. As you can see in the before/after photo, the cloths were cleaner, and all the faint stains were gone, but the thick stains are still very much visible. Also the cloths were no more absorbent than before, which is to say, they still resist water when first wetted; the drops of water need time to sink in.Overall, I don’t see this being better than regular detergent. A good laundry detergent breaks down wax too, with the help of hot water. And the price per load is MUCH higher - about $2.50 - $5/load depending whether you presoak or not. Meanwhile, laundry detergent costs 10 - 30 cents per load. This product does work, but I don't see a need for it; therefore, I don't recommend it.
This is probably Black Line’s best product in my opinion. This might be my favorite microfiber wash, but it’s closed contention between Blackline, Malco, and of course Rags to riches. I’ve heard detail co has a good one out too. Having said that this company really needs to lower their prices and offer this product in 1 gallon units. It’s pretty upsetting that they sell this only and half gallons at largest. If they don’t balance their pricing, I won’t be buying a ton of stuff from them regularly.
This is a awesome towel cleaner gets the job done and good price
Product does not restore the same soaking quality as originally purchased, it does clean them but by using more product than directed.Would not repurchase this product a second time
